One week ago we had a momentous occasion: Holly's first day at school. There was lots of preparation and shopping and discussion. There's been more than a year of applications and letters and anguish leading up to this day and now we're here.
Holly coped admirably and seems to love "big school". I'm a stickler for putting her in a proper school uniform, despite the school's fairly laid back approach, and she looks amazing. All grown up. (Photos to come, I promise!)
We seem to be coping well with dropping off and picking up both girls and the after school playgroup is a life saver. Holly seems to like that bit of the day more than actual school-time! Our challenges will be the many school holidays to come, starting in February and April. Hopefully a combination of helpful grandparents and annual leave will pull us through.
