Weekend fun

We're busy busy busy all the time. Anya is growing fast and is two next month! Her language skills are impressive and at their best when she is ordering us all about or complaining about falling over.

Last weekend was full of adventures. First we went up to the top of Millbank Tower and looked all around London. It was great fun to point out our house and Holly's schools, old and new. They were great with the kids there and provided crayons and colouring in for us - with the artwork ending up in pride of place on the wall there.

After that we were off in the car to Harlow for a BBQ and party. Lots of kids meant that there was some initial hiding behind legs but they soon warmed up and were running around staring at chickens and playing in cars. We managed to keep Anya's recent car sickness at bay by travelling during nap time and bedtime but it's still traumatic travelling for more than 5-10 mins with her in the car.

Then on Sunday, we all visited the Queen and toured her State Rooms. Holly was a bit disappointed that she didn't see the Queen there and thought that it was a bit boring - but that might be because she spent the whole time listening to the wrong part of the audio commentary that a helpful soul gave her along with Damion's. I quite enjoyed it but it would probably have been more fun if I hadn't had to spend the whole time holding Anya's hand and listen to her shouting "Hand" at Holly every time Holly stopped holding Anya's other hand. Anya is sweet but very noisy and bossy. We bought our tickets there so we now have 1 Year Passes for Buckingham Palace State Rooms. So we shall return until Holly enjoys it!
