I've just gone through our pictures and uploaded lots for the last few months. We had Anya's first birthday and the chicken pox that went with it. A visit to see the dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum. Hallowe'en of course. A visit to the Tower of London.
On Saturday we went to Battersea Park for the fireworks but both girls were scared of the loud noises and we had to leave fairly quickly when they started. Next year we'll watch from the other side of the river.
Yesterday we had a difficult time trying to get Anya's passport picture taken in a photo booth - we're going to have to go to a Snappy Snaps and get a person to take the picture as 3 attempts in a booth just aren't enough. Then we headed to Oxford Circus to see the Christmas lights AND the new pedestrian crossing which is the most sensible thing I've seen in ages (and what should have always been there).
After that we treated the kids to dinner at the Rainforest Cafe and nearly had to leave straight away. They were both scared by the animal and rainforest noises and Holly took great dislike to the gorillas and monkeys near our table for the first half hour there. Anya was generally ok with the animals on the walls but did insist on cuddles every time the animal noises started up again. By the end of the meal, they were happily eating and running around the place and excitedly looking at all the animals.
